Sigma 28mm f/1.8 AF Nikon lens, tested and working, good condition, Nikon AF mount, estimated to be from 1980–1990.
Description from the seller
Here for auction is a very interesting wide-angle lens: the Sigma 28mm f/1.8 II High-Speed Wide Aspherical, a bright optic produced in Japan in the early 1990s. This is the second version of this model, recognizable by the inscription "High-Speed Wide" on the front, and it is valued for its excellent maximum brightness of f/1.8, which makes it a powerful creative tool for isolating the subject from the background—a feature rare for a wide-angle lens of this focal length and range.
The lens, equipped with autofocus mounting (visible from the rear electrical contacts and the AF motor port of the camera), uses an optical scheme that includes aspherical elements to correct aberrations, ensuring good center sharpness. The design is typical of the Sigma 'Zen' era, with a matte black finish ('zen finish') that feels pleasant to the touch but tends to become sticky over time if not well maintained, although the sample in the photo appears to be in good condition. The filter diameter is 58mm, a standard size and easy to obtain.
complete with the original Sigma front cap and rear cap, this lens also comes with a soft-case branded "sun" (likely a non-original accessory but useful for protection). It is an ideal optic for those seeking a bright wide-angle lens for analog SLR cameras (verify compatibility of the mount, which from the photos seems to be Nikon AF or Minolta/Sony A, given the presence of the aperture ring and contacts) or for use on digital bodies with an internal focusing motor.
