Description from the seller

A pupitre is a wooden rack in which bottles of sparkling wine such as champagne are placed upside down to undergo remuage, a process of gentle shaking, turning, and gradually positioning the bottles in a more vertical stance. This remuage is part of the méthode traditionnelle of Champagne.
Nowadays they are used as a cool wine rack, suitable for 30 bottles.
The pupitre is marked with MC, which stands for the champagne house they come from.
