Description from the seller
Charles Christofle founded the company that bears his name in 1830.
Originally a jeweler, he purchased patents for silver plating and gold plating by electrolysis in 1842.
Now a goldsmith, he elevates ceremonial articles and everyday objects: from jewelry to cutlery, from goldsmithing to statuary, from decorative objects to the arts of the table.
This is how, even today, money still shines with its brilliance over an entire way of life.
Maison Christofle relies on manufacturing that is entirely handcrafted using traditional techniques. The precious crafts of turning and repoussé, planishing, chasing, and engraving, upheld by its Master Goldsmiths and Meilleurs Ouvriers de France, immortalize the qualities of elegance and excellence in all Christofle pieces.
It is this irreplaceable human expertise, perpetuated by highly skilled artisans.
This collection was named in honor of the Château de Marly, a pleasure residence built for King Louis XIV in the 17th century.
The Marly model, created in 1897, is characterized by its elegant and refined design, inspired by the French classical styles of the 18th century, and features delicate motifs and finely engraved details, reflecting Christofle's artisanal craftsmanship.
Composition: 6 forks and 6 fish knives.
The photos are an integral part of the description.
Careful shipping only to the countries of the European Union listed.
