Zeego” is a collection of works by Japanese photographer Kazue Sadagata, born in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture in 1930, graduated from Chuo University, Faculty of Commerce, and started photography around 1958. The publisher is Norasha. The publisher is Norasha, represented by Kazuo Kitai, a leading Japanese photographer who is still active on the front lines, and edited by Norio Osaki. The company published a number of famous books in the 70s and 80s, including Paris (Ihei Kimura), Sanrizuka (Kazuo Kitai), Itamago (Terutaka Hashimoto), Onsen Geisha (Isao Hiraji), and Ideyu no Onna (Saburo Miyadera). As is typical of Norasha's works, this book also mainly features so-called “country scenes” with deep flavor, shot in Maebashi, the country town where Sadakata was born and raised (his hometown), and in the suburbs of Urawa, where he currently lives. It is also a book that carefully records the original landscape of Japan, which was being lost during the high economic growth after World War II.
