Marc Chagall and Jacques Lassaigne illustrate Le plafond de l'Opéra de Paris, first published by André Sauret in 1965 in a red cloth binding with a band illustration and illustrated dust jacket, 94 pages, 33.5 × 25.2 cm, featuring six lithographs by Chagall printed by Mourlot after plates by Charles Sorlier, plus numerous colour and black-and-white illustrations and Izis photographs.

Published by Andre Sauret, Monte Carlo, 1965.
Bound in red linen with a band illustration by Chagall. In illustrated cloth binding with a belly band and a transparent cover. All in very good condition.
With 6 lithographs by Chagall that have been transferred to stone by Charles Sorlier and printed at Mourlot. The original frontispiece lithograph is missing.
In addition to the 6 lithographs, the book contains numerous illustrations and plates in color and black-and-white, as well as 8 black-and-white photographs by Izis.
In a pocket on the back cover there is a fold-out reproduction of the ceiling painting in color and black and white.
The lithographs, the illustrations and the fold-out reproduction are in perfect condition.
