Maldives 10 Laari coin from 1960 in coppery alloy with a wavy edge, graded MS62 by NGC (certification number MS62), featuring a central palm tree over a crescent and star on the obverse and the Arabic inscriptions and denomination on the reverse.

MALDIVAS. 10 Laari. 1960.
- Price: 10 Laari.
- Year: 1960 (AH 1379).
- Inscriptions: Obverse: a central palm tree over a crescent and star, flanked by two national flags, with the date 1960 and an Arabic inscription at the bottom. Reverse: value 10 in Arabic and Latin characters, surrounded by an Arabic inscription bearing the name of the state.
- Grade: MS62 (NGC).
Copper alloy coin with a wavy outline, belonging to the first modern monetary series of the Maldives following the establishment of the constitutional sultanate. On the obverse, a symbolic composition of national character, with the palm tree as the island emblem and the crescent and star of a distinctly Islamic style, all executed with firm and well-centered relief. The reverse shows the prominent face value, with clear and balanced typography. An example with original luster partially preserved, clean fields and slight surface marks typical of the grade, offering an attractive and homogeneous appearance.
