Antique Junghans Mantel Clock, Germany, 1910s–1920s
For sale is an original antique mantel clock from the renowned German manufacturer Junghans, one of the largest European manufacturers of the early 20th century.
The case is crafted from dark wood, adorned with a carved decorative element, and features the characteristic Junghans flowing architectural lines. The metal dial, with Arabic numerals, bears the signature star-shaped "J" symbol, a traditional part of the factory's production during this period.
The original factory markings (17/285, 6272, 154, 141) relating to the manufacture and assembly of the case have been preserved inside the case.
Condition
The case is in good antique condition, with natural signs of age.
The dial has a fine patina and is undamaged.
One decorative foot is missing, but this does not affect the stability of the clock.
The mechanism does not work and requires maintenance and restoration.
