Description from the seller
Unique and unobtainable even in an unsigned copy, this copy is signed on the half-title page with a three-color pencil by Flore (born in 1963). Limited edition of 1,300 copies. 96 pages and 36 color photographs taken with a Polaroid camera, foreword by Frédéric Mitterrand and various texts by Colette, Anaïs Nin, Edith Wharton… Hardcover binding with a single illustration on the cover and back. In excellent condition, practically like new.
With this book, FLORE continues her autobiographical quest; a time of memory that here recalls memories of a wandering childhood, the marvels of discovering Morocco during a long crossing of the country, mother and daughter alone in the 1970s. The bittersweet hue of the images whispers to us that time slips away, that memories fade. Only, at times, photographs remain to remind us of the poetry of the happy days.
French-Spanish photographer and artist born in 1963, FLORE lives and works in Paris. Winner of the Nadar Prize in 2020 and of the Photography Prize of the Academy of Fine Arts. She is represented by several galleries, and her work has been the subject of solo exhibitions around the world, with many of her works included in public and private collections. She has published various books.
