Infrared Photography Techniques Part III
Ikko Kagari
Dynamic Sellers/1982/Japanese/119*175*20
Infrared Photography Techniques Part III, a collection of works by Japanese photographers including Kagari Ikko. Although his detailed background is unclear, he was born in 1947 and worked in various jobs, including as an interpreter, publisher, guitarist, nightclub manager, and writer. Around the 1980s, he was known as a “secret photographer” and worked alongside photographer Kohei Yoshiyuki, known for his photo collection “Document: Park,” as a photographer who was popular in weekly magazines. His solo photobook Document: Commuter Train, published in 1982, was featured in The Photobook Vol. 3, a collection edited by Martin Parr, a Magnum photographer and renowned photobook collector, attracting international attention for its unique photography. This book is the third issue of the “Adult Photography Techniques” series published in 1980. Michio Soejima was in charge of photography for the first issue, and Kagari took over from the second issue. This third issue also contains photographs taken by Kagari (incidentally, Akira Ishigaki was in charge of photography for the fourth issue).
