Lamp - PIROUETT adjustable lamp, Art Deco. Large Chrome Model, circa 1938

Art Deco period living-room lamp from around 1938. Model "PIROUETT", named "Nice" because it was mainly sold in the studios of Jean Chavanis, the creator of this type of lamp since 1929. Distributed primarily in the studios in the city of Nice after his move due to the war, this lamp dates from the 1930s (but produced until 1960 with variants). Large chrome model with a round base, weighted by a cast-iron disc. Articulated head with an arm that retracts into the base and a spring-steel cable. The vitrified parts with 4 opaline white glass plates. No brand or obvious signature on this iconic electrified lamp with bayonet socket (large base). In good condition, no cracks, breaks, or chips, only minimal bumps and wear, but a very attractive presentation. Total height with base lowered: 46 cm, base about 16 cm in diameter.
