Description from the seller
Fiorucci: The Book, EO 1980
215x280mm, 142 pages.
The story of the fashion brand that helped spread postmodernism into popular culture in the early 80s. From 1976 to 1984, Fiorucci opened a stunning new wave boutique on 59th Street in Manhattan. It looked like Debbie Harry's dream wardrobe: fluorescent jumpsuits, parachute pants, high-heeled sneakers, and eccentric disco clothing from Italy. It was the must-visit address for Madonna's rubber bracelets, where Warhol launched the magazine Interview during an event, and Klaus Nomi performed in the window display. It was a fusion of art and fashion, in the midst of the disco era. An excellent-condition copy with illustrated cover. It is filled with Fiorucci's famous graphics and anecdotes from its golden age, a true immersion into the atmosphere of 'Studio 54' in broad daylight. A celebration of Fiorucci's fashion and glamour.
