Sculpture, La baigneuse - 30 cm - Terracotta

Elegant terracotta sculpture depicting a young woman undressed, preparing for a bath, seated on a rock draped with a cloth. It is a reproduction of the famous La Baigneuse by Étienne-Maurice Falconet, an emblematic work of French Rococo style.

The piece features a beautiful nuanced brown patina and a remarkable fineness of detail, notably in the chignon hairstyle and the folds of the drapery.

Marks and signatures :

Signature : Engraved "FALCONET" on the base.

Numbering : Presence of the mold/series number "122" on the back, typical of late 19th- or early 20th-century art editions.

Condition:
Good overall. Note a small antique chip on the big toe of the left foot (see photos), attesting to its age. No major restoration apparent."
