Description from the seller

Martinelli Luce - Ceiling Lamp / Wall Sconce Model 'Bolla' - Designed by Elio Martinelli - 1968

A splendid original specimen from the late 1960s of the famous 'Bolla' lamp produced by Martinelli Luce, an iconic company in Italian design.
Designed by the founder Elio Martinelli, this lamp is an example of the space-age aesthetic and the fervent experimentation with plastic materials of that era.

The diffuser is made of white opal acrylic, thermoformed into the characteristic bulging bubble shape that descends from the ceiling while liquefying, offering a soft and uniform light diffusion. The structure is completed by four angular supports in anodized aluminum that, when rotated, lock the diffuser to the white lacquered metal base.

The item preserves the original technical label inside, which displays the mounting diagram and the Martinelli Luce brand, as evidence of its authenticity and the production period.
