Andreas Daub, Pforzheim, Germany.
Around 135 years ago, founder Andreas Daub laid the foundation for one of the most important companies in the German jewelry industry.
As a young silversmith, Andreas Daub quickly recognized the opportunities that opened up for him with an international focus on the tradition of Pforzheim.
Already at the beginning of the 20th century, Andreas Daub belonged to one of the 7 leading jewelry companies in Europe.
To this day, this successful family business is still active.
In 1900, double gold "Doublé" was reintroduced according to a new process: two Tombak metal plates were pressed against each other, then a layer of silver, followed by two more layers of gold; the pressed plates were then sent to the workshops for jewelry fabrication.
After manufacture, they were polished with the guarantee that they would retain a lifetime golden shine, as this necklace testifies!
Jewelry of this quality is still rarely found and highly collectible!
For introduction.
