Description from the seller

The item up for auction is an authentic, aged ice bucket with a rugged, industrial character. The vessel comes from the first half of the 20th century and is an excellent example of old metalworking, where functionality met simple, elegant form. The cooler, 20 cm tall, features a hefty construction of thick metal, adorned with classic vertical fluting along the body. Two solid, geometric handles complete it, emphasizing its vintage flair and making it easier to carry. The top edge with a diameter of 20 cm smoothly transitions into a stable base with a diameter of 16.7 cm. The item has no visible manufacturer markings, which, combined with its form, gives it an aura of mystery and uniqueness. The piece bears very pronounced signs of long-term use and the passage of time, which is its greatest asset in the context of loft-style or wabi-sabi interior design. Particular attention should be paid to the poor condition of the lower part of the vessel – strong stains, natural patina, and losses of the outer coating create a unique texture that cannot be replicated by contemporary aging methods. Thanks to its rawness and historical character, the cooler goes beyond its original bar function. It makes an ideal decorative element for a garden, terrace, or patio, where it can serve as a unique container for plants, herbs, or succulents. In modern, austere interiors, art studios, or workshops, this vessel will fit as a stylish container for accessories or a raw vase, introducing an authentic atmosphere of objects with a soul.
