Beautiful and authentic Anatolian prayer rug from the late Ottoman period, hand-knotted around 1890–1910. This characterful rug displays the classic mihrab form (prayer niche) with a warm red field, framed by rich geometric borders in blue, cream, ochre and earth tones.

The rug is fully handmade and bears the marks of a long life: a beautifully softened pile, subtle color variations, and a warm patina that only truly antique pieces acquire.

The graphic motifs, stepped lines around the mihrab, and tribal border decorations are characteristic of West Anatolian village weavings. Each detail tells the story of traditional handicraft, made for daily use in a domestic setting, not for mass production.
