AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Beautiful and very well functioning Black Painted Ricoh TLS 401 body camera with Auto Rikenon f1.7/50mm lens. Produced in 1970.
The Ricoh TLS 401 camera with lens is a descendant of the Riken Optical factory in Japan, which manufactured, among other things, the Ricoh 16, the Ricoh Golden Stecky, the Stecky "Made in Tokyo Japan", the Stecky II, III, IIIa, IIIb, and many others.
The offered black-lacquer Ricoh TLS 401 is a very exceptional camera. This camera features a very unique selective (viewing system) finder system... namely that with a switch one can switch between (Eyelevel) eye level and (Waistlevel) waist level, and this is at the top of the pentaprism.
The camera has a universal screw-thread mount for lenses with M42 threads.
Is there a TTL (through-the-lens) CdS needle meter that still works perfectly? And this is really an exception, because most of these CdS light meters have already gone to the eternal hunting grounds (to the eternal hunting grounds) or, in other words: they have simply broken. This one works excellently.
The light meter works with an EPX625G battery (included). The Av (Average metering) setting works well. The other option Sp (Spot metering) gives no reading.
The shutter speeds all work perfectly between B, 1/1000 s and 1 s.
The ASA/ISO scale setting is also easy to adjust.

The included Auto Rikenon f1.7/50mm lens is in very good and perfectly working condition. All aperture stops click perfectly from f/1.7 to f/16.
Focusing proceeds butter-smoothly with no hiccups.
All glass is intact. There are no scratches or polishing marks.
Serial number of the lens : 040822
The lens comes with the Cozo 80B blue filter and a lens cap.
Look at the many photos; these are also part of the description.

It is a valuable addition to any camera collection, but also a fantastic device for shooting analog again.

Will be shipped with a Track & Trace number and insurance.

NOTE:

I always ship my goods with a Track & Trace number and insurance, to cover potential damage and theft.
Please note that for these reasons, shipping costs may be somewhat higher.
If you cannot agree with this, please do not place any bids.
With thanks in advance.
