Frederick Weinberg - Chair - 60s Design - Rattan

This beautiful pair of chairs is a rare design by the well-known US artist and designer Frederick Weinberg. The chairs date from the 1950s/1960s and are a perfect example of the Mid-Century Modern style.

The design is characterized by the slender, black wrought-iron frame, which beautifully contrasts with the organic seat and backrest of woven reed (wicker). Typical of Weinberg's work are the elegant, graphic lines and the refined finish with the characteristic metal spheres.
