Vintage manual tachometer IVO "Probator" - Germany, mid 20th century - With original box
An excellent specimen of a mechanical tachometer (RPM counter) model "Probator", manufactured in Germany by the prestigious firm IVO (Irion & Vosseler) from Schwenningen. This precision instrument was essential in engineering to measure the RPMs of motors and industrial machinery before the digital era.
Technical details and condition:
• Manufacturer: IVO (Irion & Vosseler), Germany.
• Model: Probator.
• Casing: Finished in hard black enamel, with the model name and brand engraved.
• Dial: Analog for units and a 4-digit mechanical counter for hundreds/thousands.
• Aesthetic condition: Very good. The dial is clean and the body retains its original shine with minimal signs of use.
• Operation: Smooth mechanism. When the manual shaft is turned, both the needle and the numeric counter respond with precision.
• Box: Includes its original period rigid case, exterior in black synthetic leather and interior lined in red velvet, in excellent condition.
