Tamron Adaptall-2 28mm f/2.5 (02b) lens, tested and working.
Description from the seller
in this image we see an interesting vintage lens: the Tamron Adaptall-2 28mm f/2.5 (model 02b). produced between 1979 and 1992, this wide-angle is a perfect example of the versatility of Tamron's Adaptall-2 system, which allowed using the same lens on almost all SLRs of the era (Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Olympus, etc.) simply by changing the rear adapter ring.
compared to the classic 28mm f/2.8, this model offers a slightly brighter maximum aperture of f/2.5, guaranteeing a somewhat brighter viewfinder and reduced depth of field. the 7-element in 7-group optical design, with multi-coated BBAR (broad-band anti-reflection) coating, ensures good contrast and vivid colors. it is a very compact lens (only 33 mm long) and light (about 230 g), with a 49 mm filter thread.
one of its most appreciated features is the minimum focusing distance of only 25 cm, which allows close-up shots with a strong effect (semi-macro) and a pleasantly blurred background. the example in the photo appears in excellent condition, with legible lettering and the rubberized focus ring intact. it is a fun and capable manual lens, easily adaptable to modern mirrorless cameras.
