Pentax P30 with 28-80mm zoom lens, tested and working, in good condition, estimated period 1970–1980.
Description from the seller
This SLR is a Pentax P30N (known as the P3N in the USA), launched in 1988 as an evolution of the popular P30. It is a manual-focus camera with a Pentax KA mount, highly regarded for being sturdy and intuitive, perfect for students and enthusiasts.
The P30n offers two main exposure modes: aperture-priority (A or AV) and manual (M), in addition to program mode (P) when used with compatible 'A' lenses. An interesting feature compared to the previous model is the addition of aperture priority, which makes it much more versatile. It uses the DX code to automatically set the film speed (from ISO 25 to 1600) and has a vertical metal-blade shutter with speeds from 1s to 1/1000s plus bulb exposure.
The mounted lens is an SMC Pentax-A 28-80mm f/3.5-4.5 zoom, a versatile "two-touch" optic (separate rings for zoom and focus) that also includes a macro function. Although it is a kit lens from the era, the A-series lenses are known for their good optical quality and the SMC (single/super multi coating) treatment that reduces reflections. The camera appears to be in good condition, with its dark gray ("gunmetal") finish typical of this series.
