Three‑piece coffee service in 800 silver from Italy, dating to the 1960s–1970s, comprising a coffee pot with hinged lid, a sugar bowl and a milk jug, all marked 800 and 93 PA by Antonino Caruso of Palermo, featuring a bombé body, circular foot and a finely beaded edge; heights are 17 cm for the pot and 14 cm for the sugar and milk, total weight 388 g, in good used condition with minor signs of age.
Description from the seller
I am offering for sale an elegant coffee service consisting of three pieces in 800 silver: a coffee pot with a hinged lid, a sugar bowl with lid, and a creamer. All items are stamped 800 and 93 PA, a mark attributable to the silversmith Antonino Caruso of Palermo, as evidenced by the research conducted.
The service features a classic and harmonious line, with a bulbous body, a circular foot, and a delicate beaded decoration along the edges. The coffee pot has a slender spout and an elegant, well-proportioned handle; the lids are original and fit properly. The overall impression is balanced and refined, typical of Italian silver production from the twentieth century.
The heights are, respectively:
– 17 cm coffee maker
– 14 cm sugar bowl
– 14 cm the milk jug
The total weight is 388 grams.
Condition is good, with normal signs of wear and a light patina consistent with the age of the items. I have not encountered any obvious structural defects. The photographs are an integral part of the description.
An authentic and enjoyable service, suitable for both use and collecting, for those who appreciate Italian silverware of traditional craftsmanship.
