Yuniesky R. P is a young artist with solid professional training who currently lives and works in Havana, Cuba. His work stands out for a very personal pictorial language, developed almost exclusively through the use of the spatula, the tool with which he constructs compositions of great visual impact and marked expressiveness.
Their painting is characterized by a rich impasto, loose brushstrokes, and an intensely colorful palette, where light and movement constantly dialog. In its impressionist treatment, a clear influence of Joaquín Sorolla is perceived, especially in the way luminosity, dynamism, and the vibrancy of color are approached, always from a contemporary and deeply personal perspective.
The themes explored arise from an emotional connection with nature and the landscape: seascapes, sailing ships, fauna, flowers, and evocative cities form a pictorial universe rich with nostalgia and admiration for classical art. The works do not seek literal description, but the evocation of sensations, awakening in the viewer intense feelings and latent memories.
Yuni's paintings have a frontal and enveloping presence; they are works that must be observed in person, since photography cannot fully capture the richness of the impasto, the depth of color, or the energy of the pictorial gesture. The spatula allows her to build vibrant surfaces, with layers of paint that convey solidity, movement, and an almost tactile expressiveness. Her work is, in essence, a celebration of color, matter, and emotion: a painting that invites one to pause, observe, and feel.
The work is situated within contemporary post-impressionism of great visual force, where the Eiffel Tower emerges as an ethereal symbol among vibrant brushstrokes. The artist uses a spatula technique and loaded brushwork, creating a surface rich in textures that gives three-dimensionality to the blue dress of the protagonist and to the terraces of the cafes. The composition rests on a central perspective and a palette of luminous and atmospheric tones, where the yellows and whites of the wet ground reflect a light that seems to emanate from the asphalt itself. The painter aims to convey an idealized and romantic vision of urban life, focusing on the freedom and sophistication of the female figure, who advances with determination toward a horizon that blends architectural reality with pictorial reverie.
