Description from the seller
Lovely silver Art Deco men's ring from the 1930s with a polished so-called "Bloodstone" heliotrope (dark green stone with red spots). Ring size: 21.7 mm. Marked: 835 and quality mark: Ln = "Laurin" : The mark "Ln" stands for "Laurin" and was introduced in Germany in the 1930s as a quality mark for middle-priced jewelry and was used until around 1950.
Heliotrope, also known as bloodstone. The gemstone is said to symbolize vitality, courage and protection and is associated with grounding and activating life force.
N.B. The ring was originally gold-plated but, due to the passage of time, most of the gilding has worn off; only on the deeper parts of the ring is the gilding still somewhat visible, not distracting but that is a matter of personal taste, see photos.
