Yamaha R-S300 stereo receiver, tested and working, in very good physical condition, 14 kg, includes remote control and power cord.
Description from the seller
The device is in good condition! Barely used! Everything works! Looks like new! No scratches! The remote control is original The remote control has new batteries! The device is well packaged! Vinyl enthusiasts can reach for the R-S300: Yamaha HiFi has equipped the stereo receiver with a phono input for MM cartridges, therefore a separate phono preamplifier is unnecessary.
Subwoofer output and docking port
To the phono input for turntables with MM tonearm (MM = Moving Magnet) and to the GND terminal, which lets you earth the turntable, there are four analog audio inputs for CD players, tape decks and similar sources. The rear is further equipped with two line outputs for recorders, with a subwoofer output and with two jacks for the supplied FM/AM antenna. The connection panel is rounded out by screw-terminal speaker terminals for four speakers and by a proprietary interface through which you can connect a Universal Dock (YDS-12) for iPod and iPhone, a Wireless Transmitter (YID-W10) — also for Apple players — or a Bluetooth adapter named YBA-10. In combination with the Bluetooth adapter YBA-10, audio signals from A2DP-capable notebooks, mobile phones and MP3 players can be played wirelessly.
Output power and sound optimization
On the back there is a switch that lets you adjust the amplifier to the impedance of the speakers. If you opt for bi-wiring operation — here the boxes are wired twice — and connect speakers with eight ohms or higher, set the switch to 'High'. For speakers with 4 ohms or higher, the 'Low' switch position is recommended. According to the manufacturer, both channels are driven with a maximum output of 55 watts into four ohms. In terms of sound optimization, the company relies on separate controls for bass, treble, and balance, and there is also a continuously adjustable loudness switch on the front, which allows you to boost the level of the low and high frequencies, which can lead to a “full and clear” sound even at low volumes. If you want the audio signal to be reproduced as faithfully as possible, activate the Pure Direct mode.
The Yamaha R-S300 is flexible: it supports bi-wiring, boasts a phono input, and features a proprietary interface for external docks.
