Bronze head of a mass war hammer from Luristan, dating to 1200–800 BC, 11.3 cm high and 4.7 cm wide, in good condition, with Belgian provenance via Galerie M.S.T. and acquired in 2024; legally obtained with export/licensing arrangements to be organised.

Bronze mace head from Luristan
Massive bronze hammer head, superbly preserved, tubular shaft, spherical in its upper third.
Adorned with faceted knobs around the bulging head and flanked by grooved circular bands.
Late Bronze Age, 1200–800 BC.
Large size for this type: 11.3 cm high and 4.7 cm wide.
Provenance information: Belgium, M.S.T. Gallery
Previous provenance history, former Belgian private collection acquired on the European art market in the 1990s.
