St.Bernardus Christmas Ale is an intense dark beer with a full, slightly fruity taste, full of winter flavours and spicy aromas. Nuances of anise are complemented by shades of creamy caramel and roasted chestnut. The stubborn spiciness continues undisturbed into the magnificent aftertaste of dried fruit and chocolate. Just like all beers from the brewery, the beer is characterised by the aroma of the specific St.Bernardus yeast (since 1946), which ensures a unique complexity. St.Bernardus Christmas Ale is the perfect tasting beer to enjoy on a cosy (cold?) winter evening.

Christmas and chocolate are an age-old, but golden combination. The Christmas Ale is therefore a ‘perfect match’ with all kinds of (chocolate) desserts.
