Description from the seller
Sculpture “Heron” – Amilcare Santini – silver-plated
At dawn, when the water is still, the airship remains in silence among the reeds. Do not hunt, do not flee: observe.
The light slips over him like a mirror, and the lake seems to stop with him.
It is said that it brings patience and calm to the homes where it finds a place, for it is the guardian of slow waiting and of things arriving at the right moment.
Refined sculpture depicting a crane in a gathered pose, with the neck elegantly arched and the beak turned toward the plumage, created by the renowned Florentine sculptor Amilcare Santini.
The work is characterized by highly detailed modeling: the feathers are incised one by one, and the silvery surface reflects light, creating highly decorative chiaroscuro effects.
The sculpture is made of composite material with a silver laminate (deposit of 70 grams) and rests on a polished black round base. Signature “A. Santini” appears on the base.
Dimensions:
Height: 31 cm
Width: 15 cm
Base diameter: 14 cm
Weight: 1.7 kg
Condition: excellent overall. The lamination is well preserved and bright; only light signs of wear due to age on the base, consistent with its age.
A decorative object with a strong presence, typical of Santini’s production, ideal for classic interiors, professional studios, or collections of Italian sculptures from the twentieth century.
