Brand: E.Zuiko; Model: E.Zuiko Auto-T 4/200mm; Physical condition: Good; Functional condition: Tested and working; Estimated period: 1980–1990; Olympus OM system telephoto lens with an integrated retractable hood and original black leather hard case.
Description from the seller
This vintage telephoto lens for the Olympus OM system is an excellent example of the compact-and-light construction philosophy that made the brand famous. Introduced in the early 1970s, the 200mm f/4 offers a focal length ideal for distance portraits, wildlife photography, and architectural details, while maintaining surprisingly compact dimensions for its category.
The inscription "e.zuiko" on the front ring indicates an optical arrangement of 5 elements (and it is the fifth letter of the alphabet), arranged in 4 groups. This classic configuration guarantees good sharpness and a pleasant bokeh, also thanks to the 8-blade diaphragm. The lens is equipped with an integrated removable hood, a very convenient feature that avoids having to carry extra accessories.
The specimen in the photo appears in good cosmetic condition, with the black metal barrel showing the signs of solid and durable construction. It comes complete with its original black leather hard case and the rear cap, making it an interesting piece for use on analog OM cameras (or digitally via adapter) as well as for collectors.
