The distinctive feature is the exceptional hand-made floral marquetry: the drawers are entirely decorated with sinuous motifs of tendrils, flowers, leaves and scrolls in light woods (probably maple, boxwood and other precious timbers), creating a magnificent contrast with the warm, deep mahogany.
The inlays are of fine workmanship, precise and rich in naturalistic detail, typical of the finest Italian Neoclassical tradition or French Louis XVI-inspired design.
