Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Signed monograph by Pierre Mazars on Jansem, with an original drawing and dedication, published in 1974 (1st edition) in French, 186 pages, hardcover green cloth binding, dust jacket not included, with minor damp staining on the back and edge pages but otherwise very good condition.
Description from the seller
Work enriched by a beautiful original drawing of a nude woman's bust by JANSEM (1920-2013), a French painter of Armenian origin.
Executed in ink and enhanced with blue and white pastels on the half-title page, accompanied by an autograph inscription to Bertand Rony "with my sympathy" [Jansem]
Beautiful, richly illustrated monograph by Pierre Mazars, dedicated to Jansem.
Jansem stood out from his contemporaries with the distinctive theme that juxtaposes his models observed in daily life with an imagination that owes as much to the composition he masters through the balance he achieves between action and feeling as it does to the light that embodies form and transcends color.
Publisher's green cloth binding (dust jacket not included).
Water damage on the back of the canvas and on the second panel, a few stains. Interior immaculate. Very good condition.
Signed; Jansem, Pierre Mazars
