Description from the seller

Large openwork brass incense burner – Turkey – 19th century

A large brass repoussé and pierced incense burner, Turkish-made, resting on a wide circular tripod base.

The hemispherical cup, mounted on a baluster stem, is topped with an openwork lid decorated with interlaced geometric rosettes inspired by Islamic motifs, allowing the diffusion of fragrant fumes. The lower part features a frieze engraved with stylized scrolls.

The whole rests on a wide circular platter, richly chiseled with a concentric pattern of vegetal motifs and palmettes, supported by three small feet. This type of presentation evokes ceremonial fragrance burners intended for interiors or reception areas.

The lid is hinged.
Interior patinated with wear consistent with its function.
Beautiful antique patina, wear and localized oxidations visible, without structural alterations.

Photos are an integral part of the object's description and complement its presentation. They allow you to assess its condition and features. Please examine them carefully before making any commitment.

The item will be carefully packaged and shipped with a tracking number to ensure fast and secure delivery.

Happy bidding!
