Probably for weighing gold or silver. Both very nicely carved and polished ducks with heads resting on their backs.
Size: 1.5 cm L each - 9/16 inch
Material: Hematite, 2.3 grms and 2.1 grms
Culture: Old Babylonian, c. 1800-1700 B.C.
Condition: Intact
Provenance: Collection Mr. N. Wright, acquired in a London Gallery in the 1980’s.
The seller guarantees that this item has been legally acquired & will be legally exported, related documents seen by Catawiki.
This item do not need an export licence within the EU.
The seller will inform the buyer if it needs a UK export licence outside the EU
Worldwide shipping by Registered Mail.
