Description from the seller

Ercuis is a famous French cutlery brand with a rich history.
The company was founded by a priest in the mid-19th century in a small village near Paris. By the early 20th century, Ercuis had established a prominent position in the market and began supplying cutlery to the finest hotels on the Riviera and the Basque coast. To this day, Ercuis remains trusted among France's luxury hotels, such as the Four Seasons George V.
In the second half of the 20th century, Ercuis was invited to develop
An exclusive range of tableware for the legendary Orient Express, which adorns it to this day.
And Ercuis developed a special technique to apply a thicker layer of silver to the parts of the cutlery most exposed to the greatest wear.
The silverware is made of sterling silver 925 and the thickness of the silver coating is twice that of other manufacturers (63 microns with the standard 33 microns).
Today, Ercuis cutlery not only serves the homes of the wealthy authorities and celebrities around the world, they are also popular among Michelin-starred restaurants and chefs.
