Description from the seller

Bronze Age Luristan Arrowhead Pendant – c. 1200–800 BC – Mounted as Wearable
Necklace

Description:
A striking Bronze Age arrowhead from ancient Luristan, dating to approximately 1200–800
BC, now artistically mounted as a modern necklace for unique wearable history. The original
artefact – cast in bronze and still displaying rich green patination from millennia of burial – would
once have served as a functional projectile in warfare or hunting across the region known today
as western Iran.

Carefully and respectfully set within a contemporary gold-coloured wire wrap, this ancient
arrowhead has been transformed into a piece of jewellery that honours its archaeological past
while offering a distinctive and stylish presentation. The contrast between the ancient bronze
and modern metalwork makes this piece ideal for collectors who also enjoy wearing their
artefacts.

Culture: Ancient Near East – Luristan
Period: Bronze Age, c. 1200–800 BC
Material: Bronze arrowhead mounted with gold-coloured metal and cord necklace
Origin: Luristan region, western Iran
Provenance: Private UK collection (acquired before 2000 – documentation available to the
winning bidder)

Condition:
Arrowhead in very good ancient condition with expected surface encrustation and patina from
age. No restoration. Mounted with a modern wire wrap so it can be worn. Please study the
photos for condition.

Dimensions: approx. 83 mm length (pendant including wire wrap)
Cord included: Yes – modern cord necklace for wearing
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a 3,000-year-old artefact presented in a contemporary
form – ideal for collectors, gift-givers, or lovers of ancient history who wish to carry the past with
them. Will be securely packaged and shipped with a certificate of authenticity.
