Description from the seller
White porcelain tableware set consisting of:
1 oval serving plate 38.4 x 26.1 cm
1 large round serving plate diameter 30.4 cm
1 oval canapé plate 23.4 x 14.5 cm
22 flat plates diameter 24 cm
6 salad or dessert plates diameter 19.2 cm
1 pedestal height 13.3 cm x diameter 22.5 cm
Produced by the company: Schaller Bavaria, in Germany, marked on the bottom in red with a crown above. It features a decoration with two thin gold borders hand-painted, and the plate has a scalloped edge. This mark was used in a specific period, roughly between 1920 and 1950. The company was founded in 1882 by Oscar Schaller. Initially, it marked its products with the symbol: "S&C". It is notable that the company produced several souvenirs for the town of Hallerstein, once a destination for tourists who regularly visited the historic Zell-Hallerstein porcelain mine. Due to the limited availability of items, Schaller porcelain in "Hallerstein" is today highly sought after by collectors. Status: Discontinued.
