Antique set of four transparent glass stemware in crystal, with a tulip-shaped bowl and a six-facetted stem, Gravé incised decoration, dating to 1910–1920 and made in France; in good used condition with minor signs of age and stains.
Description from the seller
Antique set of 4 goblets, Gravé ground and hand-decorated model. These glasses correspond to one of Baccarat's most prestigious lines, renowned for refinement, the lightness of the crystal, and the precision of the handmade work.
The glasses feature a tulip-shaped bowl, wide and open, slightly flared toward the top to allow perfect aeration of the drink and diffusion of aromas. The base of the bowl is thick and attaches to a stem of great character, worked with six clean facets (facets) that catch and reflect light in a prismatic way. The base is
circular, flat and perfectly proportioned to guarantee
stability.
The Gravé engraving decoration is produced with the technique of ultra-sharp engraving, which creates a satin contrast on the transparent crystal. The main frieze consists of elegant scrolls and Rocaille motifs that chase each other along the entire circumference of the bowl.
Their simple and elegant shape is pleasant to the touch and very comfortable to hold in the hand. The set is in excellent
condition, shows minimal imperfections due to the
handwork. They are unsigned as they predate 1930
