Art Deco glass bowl from ca. 1925–1940 in amethyst glass.
Description from the seller
This beautiful Art Deco bowl radiates pure 1920s elegance. The strong, geometric form is typical of the Art Deco period, in which symmetry, clean lines, and stylized shapes were central. The fan-like construction with a central rib structure reinforces the architectural character that is so characteristic of this style.
The glass has a deep amethyst to aubergine color with subtly darkened edges, creating a luxurious color gradient. When light passes through the glass, a rich play of tones and reflections arises, further highlighting the sculptural design.
The horizontal ribs in the middle plane give rhythm and dynamism to the design and reference the industrial and modern influences of the interwar period. The bowl sits firmly on an integrated base, combining elegance with stability.
This is not an ordinary bowl, but a pronounced decorative object from the Art Deco period — perfect as a centerpiece, on a sideboard, or in a display cabinet. A stylish collectible that reflects the glamour and modernity of the years 1925–1940.
