F4 body with Nikon AF mount, tested and functioning, in good condition, introduced circa 1988.
Description from the seller
Nikon F4, a masterpiece of photographic engineering introduced in 1988 and designed by the famous Giorgetto Giugiaro. This camera represents a milestone, being the first professional Nikon SLR equipped with built-in autofocus and a film-advance motor integrated into the camera body.
The die-cast aluminum alloy body, sturdy and tropicalized, houses a vertical-travel shutter made of carbon fiber and Kevlar capable of speeds from 30 seconds to 1/8000 of a second, as well as Bulb exposure. The revolutionary 5-segment matrix metering system guarantees accurate exposures even in complex lighting conditions, supplemented by Spot and Center-Weighted Average metering modes.
This specimen presents in very good overall condition and is free of scratches, as highlighted by the attached technical data sheet. The shutter, the light meter, and the film transport are perfectly functioning, as is the shooting mode selector. The pentaprism is clean and the lens attachment is in very good condition, making this F4 not only a collectible piece but a camera ready to shoot again today with the wide range of Nikkor F-mount lenses.
