Description from the seller

Dear Bidders,
Thank you for your interest in my offer.

You are bidding here on an antique WMF bottle stand / holder ( wine, prosecco, champagne ), which is in a good / fair vintage condition for its age.

SOME GENERAL INFORMATIONS:
WMF GmbH (formerly WMF AG,for Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) is a formerly listed manufacturer of household, catering and hotel goods, which was founded in 1853 by Daniel Straub and the Schweizer brothers. In 1880, through the merger with Ritter & Co., the Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik AG was created.

SOME ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONS:
* Brand WMF
* Stamps: Ostrich stamp - this mark was in use from around 1900; OX, which means oxidized finish; I/O means silver coating which is equivalent to 1 gram os silver per 1 dm2 of base metal surface
* Measurements: approx. 28,5x17x10 cm
* Please watch all the pictures, they are also a part of description
* I would like to point out that the items I am selling are several decades old and therefore show general signs of use and age, such as minor scratches, scuffs, discoloration, dust, patina, chips, dents etc.
Any major damage is always shown in the photos

* Please remember about Catawiki’s rules and make a payment maximally within 3 days after auction end

The item will be properly prepared for the shipping ( mostly recycled materials ) and sent insured ( up to 500€ ).

IMPORTANT:
If, however, the item is damaged or lost, please contact me via the internal Catawiki chat.
According to EU law for courier companies, in any case of damage to an international shipment, the first step in obtaining compensation is for the RECIPIENT to report the damage to their local supplier within 7 days of receiving the shipment. Only then, after the RECIPENT ( you ) receives a certificate of damage, I as the sender can claim compensation.
In addition, the following photos will be required: the damage to the item, the outside of the box with the shipping label, and the inside of the box including the materials used to protect the shipment.
Please don’t bid if you don’t accept that.

Happy bidding and good luck!
