Canon AE-1 with FD 35-105mm lens, tested and working.
Description from the seller
The Canon AE-1 is a 35mm film single-lens reflex camera with shutter-priority automatic exposure, produced by Canon in Japan and manufactured between 1976 and 1984.
Story
Certainly a substantial DSLR for its time, fairly bulky, I’d say almost angular, but weight and dimensions aside it’s already well equipped with dedicated electronics. If
The camera is controlled entirely by electronic precision rather than by mechanical functions, and the battery’s power and charge are essential to fully guarantee its functions. The Canon AE-1 offers very precise and stable timing of exposure times.
Also extended to other areas, such as the automatic flash sync speed when using the dedicated Canon electronic Speedlites.
Although the technologies used inside the AE-1 seemed very simple when compared with today’s modern SLR cameras, it should be remembered that at the time the market was still largely dominated by those kinds of heavy, mechanically controlled cameras.
Canon FD 35-105 lens in excellent condition but needs cleaning.
