Description from the seller
Pair of “Pila” chairs designed by Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli in the 1970s, an authentic expression of Italian industrial design of the period. Made with a folding chromium-plated steel frame and a seat and backrest in smoked green plexiglass, they represent a perfect balance between functionality, technical research, and minimalist aesthetics. The famous patented central hinge system allows folding and stackability, making them practical as well as iconic.
The chairs show signs of wear and scratches on the plexiglass, consistent with age and use, while the chrome-plated steel frame is in generally good condition with normal signs of wear. The mechanism is in perfect working order.
Dimensions: 46.5 cm x 48 cm x h 75 cm; seat height 44 cm.
A 1970s design piece ideal for modern, vintage, or industrial spaces, perfect both as a functional seat and as a collectible item.
