Sitting female figure.
Ewe - culture / Ghana / Togo
Good condition, one hand is missing.
Sitting on a stool, a female figure of the Voodoo cult in West Africa - Vodun, pronounced.
It is an altar object; it is placed together with other figures and receives offerings.
Mainly Kaolin, chalk, talc, gin, soap or cigarettes.
Hair braided into braids, clear face, the gaze looks into emptiness, arms bent and slightly extended
in anticipation of the offerings.
Rare is the depiction of wide sandals with bands/jewelry adorned.
Height: 26 cm.
