Three pale green glazed faience miniature amulets depicting the Egyptian deities Horus, Isis and Nephthys, with Horus and Isis each measuring 25 x 5 x 8 mm and Nephthys 22 x 5 x 8 mm, dating to late Egypt / early Ptolemaic (664–30 BC) and sourced from a French private collection in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Composition of three miniature faience amulets in pale green color representing the deities Horus, Isis and Nephthys.
"Horus" : He stands upright, in a walking posture, arms along the body. He is leaned against a dorsal pillar with a suspension hole. He wears a long tripartite wig and is dressed in a short pleated loincloth. He is crowned with a pschent (the crown of unified Egypt).
"Isis" : She stands upright, in a walking posture, arms along the body. She is leaned against a dorsal pillar with a suspension hole. She wears a tripartite wig whose strands are indicated by incised lines, a uraeus adorns her brow. She wears a sheath dress reaching to the ankles and is crowned with the hieroglyphic sign st (throne) whose backrest is very low.
"Nephthys" : She stands upright, in a walking posture, arms along the body. She is leaned against a dorsal pillar with a suspension hole. She wears a tripartite wig whose strands are indicated by incised lines, a uraeus adorns her brow. She wears a sheath dress reaching to the ankles and is crowned with the hieroglyphic sign composed of a basket placed on the temple enclosure and used to write her name (mistress of the palace).
