Hand-knotted Oriental rug in the classic Hamedan design.

The central field is held in a deep navy blue and is framed by a prominent, elongated central medallion in cream. The medallion shows stylized floral and geometric elements that build symmetrically along a vertical axis. It is surrounded by numerous traditional motifs such as abstract flowers, diamonds, small tree and plant shapes, and ornamental symbols in red, ochre, green, yellow and light blue. The strong contrasts between navy and cream give the carpet a clear, vibrant appearance.

The corner spandrels are designed in warm rust red and echo the geometric shapes of the field. The striking main border is cream-colored and embellished with colorful, highly stylized flower and leaf motifs in yellow, green, blue and red. Narrow side borders in red and dark blue frame the overall image harmoniously. The combination of bold colors and clear line work creates an expressive, yet traditional overall impression.
