Martres Tolosane - Fruit bowl - Earthenware

Beautiful earthenware salad bowl in faience from the eighteenth century attributed to the ateliers of Martres-Tolosane.

This model features an elegant polychrome decoration typical of southern productions of the second half of the eighteenth century.

The bowl is adorned with a radiating pattern composed of stylized palmettes alternating with small blue berries arranged around a central floral medallion.

The exterior is entirely covered with a manganese brown glaze called "cul noir" typical of eighteenth-century faience manufacture.

In good condition, only a small chip under the base.
