AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Very fine antique skeleton clock (the mechanism from an old Comtoise clock) with spindle movement and folding pendulum from France, circa 1830.
A beautiful piece of engineering and a delight to look at.
The clock has beautifully hand-cut brass hands.
The clock strikes on a large bright bronze bell on the half-hours and has a repeating strike on the full hours.
The clock is delivered as: antique clock on a stand and the accompanying folding pendulum and winding key, however without weights. Here, rustic (pebble) stones are often used as weights, in a net, of about 4–5 kg.
The clock runs and strikes as it should and has recently been serviced.
Dimensions H x W x D = 40 x 27 x 16 cm, pendulum length = 70 cm, pendulum lens diameter = 15 cm
Weight approx. 6 kg (without weights)
