In this work, I explore playful experiments with new materials. From this process emerged the Photo Cake: plaster piped like whipped cream, transforming a familiar, everyday gesture into a sculptural moment.
The Photo Cake exists at the intersection of image and object, playing with expectations of softness, decoration, and materiality. What initially appears light and celebratory is in fact a solid and enduring material.
Each piece is entirely handmade. As a result, every work is unique and may show subtle variations in form, texture, and finish. The delivered object may therefore differ slightly from the photograph, which is part of the character and authenticity of the work.

My name is Joni Veizaj, a product designer who looks for the fun and humor in certain materials, products or statements that relate to product design. I try to incorporate these themes in my products through experimental research combined with childish curiosity. I see myself as a maker in heart and soul and through my knowledge of materials and production techniques I look for new ways of producing. My products are mainly intended to provide her environment with a cheerful and humorous touch.
