Description from the seller
Nothing beats it for conversion performance. In excellent condition and working perfectly.
The Weiss ADC2 is the successor to the renowned two-channel A/D converter ADC1-MK2.
The ADC2 uses cutting-edge A/D chips in our proven correlation technique configuration, which reduces converter imperfections.
The analog input stages are balanced from the input connectors to the converter chips. A high-quality microphone preamplifier is built in as standard.
Supported sample rates are 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4 and 192 kHz.
Output formats are AES/EBU in one- or two-wire mode, S/PDIF and FireWire for direct computer connection.
Synchronization can be internal or external via AES/EBU or BNC (Wordclock).
The integrated digital peak limiter allows you to set generous headroom on the analog inputs while still achieving full-scale signal at the converter output.
An extensive bar graph shows the level at the A/D input, the output level, and the gain reduction of the limiter mentioned above.
The output word length can be reduced from 24 to 16 bits thanks to the integrated POW-R dithering. It is also possible to have a 24-bit output and another at 16 bits. This function is useful when a backup copy is needed, for example on a DAT.
The analog input sensitivity can be set in 6 dB steps via a relay-controlled attenuator. A further gain control is implemented in the DSP chip in the digital domain.
Both Channel 1 and Channel 2 are fully independent, except for the sample rate and the dithering settings.
The AES/EBU sync input can be used as a digital audio input. This allows limiting and/or applying dithering to digital audio signals. The peak-hold function can be used to monitor a transfer and check for overloads.
