Splendid antique jug, made by W. Ridgeway & Son in 1840, features a relief motif superbly detailed that captures a dynamic equestrian scene.
The jug is decorated with depictions of riders in ceremonial dress, highlighting their elaborate attire and the lively movement of the horses as they gallop forward.
The background is adorned with floral motifs and scrolls, which enhance the overall elegance of the jug and complete the central scene. The pewter mount adds a touch of refinement, creating a magnificent contrast with the terracotta body.
